Sanders, Clinton agree to debate in Flint on March 6

Democratic presidential contenders Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have apparently reached an agreement to a debate in Flint on March 6, just two days before the Michigan primary election.
According to Politico, a person familiar with the negotiations confirmed that an agreement had been struck today on additional debates, in Michigan and a California standoff with a date to be determined. Sanders has been pushing for more debates; Clinton has singled out Flint, in the midst of a drinking water crisis, as an ideal location.
Sanders’ campaign has proposed a May 24 California debate. No media partners have been determined yet for these additional events.

“To the best of my knowledge we have (reached agreement). We didn't get all the commitments I wanted. We got California and we got Michigan, that's good," Sanders said in a CNN interview today. The Vermont senator added that Clinton did not agree to a debate in New York but they are discussing a possible event in Pennsylvania.
Hadas Gold of Politico reports that Sanders and Clinton have been involved in a days-long back and forth over debates after MSNBC offered last week to host an unsanctioned debate ahead of the New Hampshire primary.

“Sanders said he would participate only if Clinton agreed to three future debates,” Gold reported. “The Clinton campaign agreed in principle, and said they'd show up in New Hampshire no matter what, leading Sanders to say this morning he'd attend the debate that had been tentatively scheduled for Thursday of this week. The DNC, after indicating they would sanction the debate once both candidates signed on, officially sanctioned the debate (today).”

  1. A debate involving Infrastructure costs with Federal Money in the Great Lakes State with Bridges everywhere, Broken Roads, Combined Sewer Overflows, etc. It should be quite interesting regarding the funding of all we need in this state.
