A
new poll finds that Americans are becoming less concerned about the so-called “War
on Christmas.”
Public Policy Polling found that voters nationwide who believe that Christmas traditions are under attack has dropped from 47 percent in 2012 to 37 percent now. While a strong plurality of 47/40 percent said such a war exists three years ago, the overall view has flipped, with a 37/42 margin saying it doesn’t exist, according to PPP.

The
new poll found a predictable party divide, with Republicans believing 56/26
that there is a war and Democrats believing 26/55 that there is not.
And
once again Donald Trump emerges on top, with people putting the most trust in
Trump to protect America from the War on Christmas. Among those voters who are convinced there's a
War on Christmas, 29 percent say they think Trump's the candidate best fit to
wage the counter offensive. Ben Carson was second in this category, at 16
percent, and a surprising 15 percent chose Hillary Clinton, putting her in
third.
