The NRA’s highly anticipated press conference on Friday laid
down an unusual, outdated request for news reporters planning to cover the
event.
The association, which is expected to address the Sandy Hook school massacre, said they are limiting press coverage to
those reporters who can prove their status through a request for attendance
written on company letterhead. Please fax your request, the media was told.
Numerous reporters immediately had a field day with the
demand, according to media critic Jim Romanesko.
