Newt Gingrich, on this morning's Meet The Press on NBC, said that 2016 may shape up as the "Super Bowl" of presidential elections.
If Hillary Clinton runs, with the help of Bill Clinton, the most popular Democrat in America, and the backing of Barack Obama, that would establish the most formidable Democratic ticket in modern times, Gingrich said.
The former speaker also praised the remarks last week by Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Paul Ryan about greater inclusiveness and mainstream appeal by the Republican Party.
The party needs to move forward, he said. And with a bit of a twinkle in his eye, he added this: Maybe we can have a "futurist" campaign in 2016 between Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton -- realizing that the Bushes served in state or federal office for 36 years and the Clintons were in state or federal office for 38 years.
Excellent pieces. Keep posting such kind of post on your blog.
