Lynn Evans, a darkhorse Republican candidate hoping to
unseat state Rep. Marilyn Lane of Fraser, has unusual tastes when it comes to
framing her campaign.
At the conclusion of the well-attended Sandy Levin/Don
Volaric congressional debate on Tuesday night, a Lane supporter was passing out
a campaign flyer for the candidate combined with a flyer for a pizza parlor,
complete with several coupon offers.
As they say, if you can’t win the people through their
hearts and minds, go for their stomach.
The flyer that was distributed promotes an Oct. 12
bowling fundraiser for the GOP nominee that will be held at the old Fraser Star
Lanes and feature a Big Lebowski theme, as in the comedy cult classic film, “The
Big Lebowski.”
Sounds cool, Dude.
