McCotter 'doesn't care about Congress anymore'

(McCotter in rock star mode)
Kudos to the Observer & Eccentric newspapers for getting a great interview with Mike Cox, who not only is the former attorney general, he previously worked on Congresman Thad McCotter campaigns for state Senate and Wayne County board.
As the state AG’s investigation into McCotter’s botched nominating petitions continues, Cox was asked what he thought of McCotter blaming his staff for nearly 90 percent of the petition signatures being declared invalid – and possibly fraudulent.

“The idea that the staff sabotaged this is nonsense. Leaders don’t talk like that,” said Cox who, like McCotter, is a Livonia Republican.
In the interview by Ken Abramczyk, the 2010 candidate for governor then said: “It’s clear that he doesn’t care about Congress anymore. It’s clear that he isn’t engaged anymore.”
Cox paused, and added: “It pains me to say that.”
Maybe that quirky, quixotic presidential bid by McCotter is starting to make sense.
