As the state AG’s investigation
into McCotter’s botched nominating petitions continues, Cox was asked what he
thought of McCotter blaming his staff for nearly 90 percent of the petition
signatures being declared invalid – and possibly fraudulent.
“The idea that the staff sabotaged this is nonsense.
Leaders don’t talk like that,” said Cox who, like McCotter, is a Livonia
Republican.
In the interview by Ken Abramczyk, the 2010 candidate for
governor then said: “It’s clear that he doesn’t care about Congress anymore.
It’s clear that he isn’t engaged anymore.”

Maybe that quirky, quixotic presidential bid by McCotter
is starting to make sense.
