‘All-Star lineup’ at GOP Mackinac conference means hotel rooms filling up fast

With a lineup of speakers that includes three presidential candidates – Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina – hotel rooms are apparently filling up fast for the 31st biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, Sept. 18-20, on Mackinac Island.
Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO, is the latest to confirm her attendance at the event, which will be held at the island's Grand Hotel.
“The Michigan Republican Party is excited to host Carly Fiorina in September,” Michigan GOP Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a statement. “Mrs. Fiorina adds a fresh perspective on important issues to the all-star lineup scheduled to appear at this year’s Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference.”

The conference schedule – for the speakers and for other political discussions – has not yet been released. Former Florida governor Bush was the first to sign on a few weeks ago and Texas Sen. Cruz joined in late last month.
