Ted Cruz coming to Livingston County in June

The Livingston County Republicans will be hosting Sen. Ted Cruz at their Lincoln Dinner on Wednesday, June 3, at Crystal Gardens in Howell.
The Cruz presidential campaign has been ahead of the curve in organizing for Michigan, with a campaign team put in place led by Saul Anuzis, a former Republican National Committee member and a former state GOP chairman.
The event, which begins with a VIP reception at 5:30 p.m. and a dinner at 6:30 p.m., has a theme of “Freedom on the March: A Tribute to our Military and Their Families.” Dinner tickets are $60 per plate and dinner/VIP reception tickets cost $150 per person.

“Livingston County has long been a popular stop for presidential candidates and their families,” said Dan Wholihan, LCGOP Chair, “It is exciting to have the senator from Texas joining us this year, and we are ready to continue our strong Republican tradition of turning out voters. We are the heart of the Republican base in Southeast Michigan.”

With an extraordinarily large field of up to 20 GOP presidential contenders in advance of the March 8, 2016, Michigan primary, Livingston County GOP officials say they targeted Cruz for their annual Lincoln Dinner.
“Ted Cruz has always been at the top of our list of people to have speak,” said Dave Grissom, event organizer. “We know that he will be a big draw statewide.  With his commitment to our military, and plain-spoken style, he is a perfect fit for Livingston County, and for Michigan.”
