When you look at it that way ... total GOP dominance of House
The map above created by CNN is a stark reminder of what a grip the Republican Party now has on the House, and how dominant the GOP is in rural America.
With a 250-185 advantage in House seats and only about 35 competitive districts due to gerrymandering, it would take two wave elections for the Democrats just to catch up. More realistically, it's unlikely we will see Dem control of the House again unless they string together three consecutive strong elections.
With the see-saw nature of national politics these days, what are the chances of that?
