Need a ‘social media butler?’ He’s yours – for $47,000

In advance of the Obama inauguration, one Washington hotel is offering a four-day luxury package that includes a “social media butler.”

A what?

A social media butler, apparently, is someone who follows you and your family and friends for four days and chronicles your activities, in words and pictures, on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

The cost: $47,000.

Well, not quite. The Madison Hotel’s $47,000 “Town and Country” package includes a four-night stay, an inauguration tour for you and 22 of your closest friends, a limo driver, and a $5,000 Brooks Brothers shopping spree.

I guess there are some 1-percenters who generously supported Obama and want to attend the inaugural events in order to see first-hand that their investment paid off.
