Essay: 'I am Adam Lanza's mother'

Everyone who was emotionally affected by the Connecticut shootings and is struggling, once again, to understand why these mass shootings happen should read an essay written by Liza Long entitled, "I am Adama Lanza's mother."
Long writes about how she can relate to the Sandy Hook shooter's mother based on her struggles with a 13-year-old son who is mentally ill. This piece will open your eyes.

The tag line to the piece, which was reprinted by Gawker, says this:
Liza long is an author, musician, and erstwhile classicist. She is also a single mother of four bright, loved children, one of whom has special needs.
