The first reason to like the election results

According to the nonpartisan Sunlight Foundation, the hundreds of millions of dollars spent by the Super PACs, thanks to multi-million dollar donations from millionaires and billionaires, was a spectacular failure.

The Karl Rove-backed American Crossroads and the affiliated Crossroads GPS spent nearly $200 million, and lost in most races where they spent money. In fact, the Sunlight Foundation calculates that just 1.3 percent of what American Crossroads spent and 14.4 percent of what Crossroads GPS dished out resulted in a win.
What’s more, all eight candidates that mega-donor Sheldon Adelson, the Las Vegas casino mogul, supported financially ended up losing.
