The bizarre world of voter challenges

I heard two amazing items on the cable news broadcasts this morning regarding the continuing fight over voter ID laws.
First, the Texas law that was struck down by the courts a few weeks ago did not allow a student ID with a photo as sufficient identification to vote, but it did allow a hunting license without a photo.
Second, in Ohio the voter registrations of 246 college kids were being challenged (by a group called True the Vote) because the students didn’t include their dorm room number when they provided their address on the registration form. On Tuesday, the Franklin County Board of Elections unanimously ruled that all 246 students are eligible to vote.
Things are getting very strange out there, folks.
