House minority leader Nancy Pelosi has started off the New Year with an emphasis on technology – Flickr and Photoshop.
Pelosi is defending an altered photo of the 113th Congress’ 61 Democratic congresswomen that was posted on her Flickr photo-sharing site.
The photo showed four House members who were not in the original picture, which was taken Thursday when lawmakers were sworn in as members of the 113th Congress. According to The Huffington Post, they arrived at the Capitol steps late, and their images were later inserted with a computer program.
"It was an accurate historical record of who the Democratic women of Congress are," Pelosi told a news conference. "It also is an accurate record that it was freezing cold and our members had been waiting a long time for everyone to arrive and ... had to get back into the building to greet constituents, family members, to get ready to go to the floor. It wasn't like they had the rest of the day to stand there."

And what about the situation room photograph with Hillary Clinton covering her face, spontaneously aghast, at the "live" images of the SEAL Team slaughtering Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan. All staged according to Leon Panetta, the current Secretary of Defense. But did we really need anyone to tell us that. Just look at the picture. No participant's face is even partially blocked. No one is blinking or looking down or away. Articles of intelligence are carefully arranged, including aerial pictures on the table. I would not believe a single word which comes from the government - the same government that told us Jessica Lynch was captured fighting valiantly, that Pat Tillman was killed fighting insurgents, and that Ronald Reagan did not order Ollie North was trading HAWK and TOW missiles (through Israel) to Iran - a/k/a IRAN CONTRA AFFAIR. By the way, Daniel Ortega and the Sandinista whose only crime was confiscating the corrupt dictator Anastasio Samoza's property, lost the election in Nicaragua several years later and LEFT OFFICE. Huh? I though they were supposed to be communist thugs that did not respect the constitution of Nicaragua? The Sandinistas ultimately won back a majority in National Assembly. In 2011 they won 61% of all votes cast, and held a majority of 63 seats of 92. And what did the 100s of millions of dollars of clandestine CIA and DOD support get the US taxpayer? Well the Contra Leaders purchased most of the commercial property in downtown Managua (Nicaragua's Capital City) for themselves and their families. Check it all out on the internet, its all true.
